I want to apologize for my rant in a way, I kinda flew off the handle and it could be a little more articulate. But I just see those things and I get so pissed off at them. I just don’t think that you can believe that someone’s answer is honest if you’re threatening them. This is one of the reasons that, while I’m quite religious, I feel a distance between me and the organized Church: I don’t agree with the hellfire and brimstone and that fear and threat of something bad happening to our souls should we commit evil or fail to do good. We shouldn’t be doing good things to avoid punishments, we should do good for goodness’ sake. And maybe, in the world, the motive doesn’t really matter so long as good is done, but I honestly believe that deep down, doing good for some kind of punishment-avoidance isn’t actually doing good. It’s a trade, a business deal; I’ll do good so long as I don’t go to hell. I just can’t get behind that message. I think that we can do good without being threatened. I believe in the good within people. And if you know me at all(I’m a dark, misanthropic cynic) you know that that is an out of place statement for me to make.

Don’t apologize Tony. You’re not the only person that feels this way.
